January 2011- Paintings by Hilary and commentary by James Price, eminent local historian will tour Lancashire Museums. A major exhibition is being planned about the work of Paley and Austen, the Victorian architectural practice. Many of the Victorian era buildings in Lancaster were designed and built by this firm. This touring exhibition is being organised by the Lancashire Museum service. Venues and dates to be confirmed.

February- The St John's Hospice raffle this year will be for an original oil of Hornby Castle by Hilary Carr. Prints of paintings of the local area will be second and third prizes.
May/June- Hilary will NOT be opening her studio for the Lunesdale Studio Trail this year. She is away travelling in Northern Europe.

Facing North
The Facing North Project started some five years ago to celebrate the wonderful variety of artists living and working in the North of England. The concept was to ask 50 artists to submit an example of their work and to more unusually ask each artist to produce a self-portrait in any media or form of their choosing. The Facing North exhibition illustrates a selection of the talent and diversity of northern artists showcasing their work and how they see themselves. (The work Hilary Carr showed at this exhibition was sold)
The Lunesdale Studio Trail 2009, ran in 2009 on the following dates - July 11,12, 18,19 and 25 26th.

Society of Women Artists 2008- Hilary has had a work accepted at this prestigious exhibition held annually at the Mall Galleries, London SW1. The Exhibition will be officially opened by HRH Princess Michael of Kent on Wednesday 28 May, and runs until Sunday 8 June 10am to 5pm daily, closing 1pm on 8 June.
